A catch-all email mailbox receives email messages sent to non-existent email addresses under the same domain. For example, an email sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can get emails from friends or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at some moment you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation implies that the spam will not be redirected to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Website Hosting

If you have a website hosting with our company and you would like to activate the catch-all option for a particular e-mailbox that you have in the account, it’ll take literally just a mouse click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel to accomplish this. A catch-all button is available to the right of each email address that you have created under any domain name registered in your account. You can pick one single email address per domain by clicking the respective button. This will enable the feature straight away, so all email messages sent to miswritten email addresses will be received there. Clicking on the button once again will deactivate the catch-all feature. If you have activated email forwarding, our system will display a warning note and you won’t be able to activate the catch-all feature unless you delete the forwarding or you can simply pick a different mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You will be able to configure a catch-all address with no more than one click in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server with our company and your emails are handled by our cloud web hosting platform. All the email addresses that you create with any domain name hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be shown in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a tiny "Catch-all" icon next to it, so all it will take to activate this feature will be to click on that icon. In the same manner you’ll be able to turn off the feature, if you don’t need it any longer. Our system will let you know if you’re attempting to enable a 2nd catch-all email address for a given domain or in case there’s activated email forwarding, but it’ll never modify or deactivate anything automatically or without your consent.
